We take pride in our work and enjoy every bit of it. We love to help and watch each child learn day to day with small tasks and watch them grow everyday. There is nothing more rewarding than helping our children learn and grow.

The Bashful Giraffe is a family operated in-home daycare. We are a licensed facility and are able accept CANI. We are a participant in the Paths-to-Quality program and also in the government food program.

We have a daily schedule each day with fun filled activities and learning. For the older children we work on letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and writing throughout the week whether with our books, or short learning videos or just some good old fashioned learning with hands on activities.

We are currently staffed with 3 volunteers. You can read more about our volunteers in the staff tab. They soon will all be CPR Certified. With the recent working of plans we are thinking of expanding our facility to be able to keep up with the demand of childcare in our community and surrounding areas. Currently we have a huge facility which allows us 3 nurseries with individual changing stations, a big play room, a library, 2 restrooms, and a lunch and art room. We have a fenced in backyard for outside playtime. In the summer months we walk to the school playground and also try to get to the library for reading fun weekly and occasionally go to the ice cream shop and outside water fun with the sprinkler. In the winter months we are very thankful that our library comes to the daycare to read to the children weekly. Weather permitting we go outside for some fun playing in the snow and to just get outside even if it is just for a small amount of time.

We offer breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. We also make sure to have holiday and birthday parties with a lunch or snack geared to a special meal or snack. The kids love to celebrate holidays and birthdays with parties.
